Cholesterol Readings

Once you see this video please do not treat me diffrently. But understand what people on ODSP(Ontario Disabiltiy Support Program) OW(Ontario Works) and the less fortunate in soceity have to put up with ,with the current Liberal goverment in ontario. I had to think long and hard about this. As I have a non- apparent disaiblity. I wanted to put a face to this issue and I hope mine is one of many. And of you who are on these programs I can relate to your situation.

For the hearing imparied, it was too difficult for me to learn close caption etc. so theres what i said in the video below:



With the special diet, I get an extra 50 dollars to control my cholesterol, etc, as the government says ,if they do this new program I may or may not still receive it, if i loose that 50 dollars I will not be able to buy fruits at the store which are now expensive. And that loss of 50 dollar would just result in exasperate my not only my disability but probably also the high cholesterol because I would be forced to buy processed foods .

I live in the riding of Liberal MPP Bruce Crozier and obviously he does not care because I sent him a bunch of letters and I usually get the same form letters that everyone on the odsp forms have gotten when they complained about the special diet.

Not only I believe that his is noting short of an attack on the poor and reprisal because of the people on disability who won the humans rights case in Ontario , I noticed that once they won that case the liberal Ontario government decided to cancel the special diet right after that . To me my personal opinion that was noting short of reprisal for them and other acting under the Ontario human rights code.



This only hasn't affected me there's another separate issue as well and in coming across to my community in Essex . Ontario . At least for me , that attack on the poor and disabled seem to be extending into the municipalities , at least for me . Umm with me I live in rent geared to income housing. If you'll excuse me I tend to shut down once in a while when I get aggravated. Please bare with me

I live in a rent geared to income community housing, now that housing because they decided to catch up ont her books forced and me and other on odps who signed up for direct payment, because they wanted to catch up on their books, they forced us into arrears', you have to understand that when I first signed my lease was in 2003 that housing corporation no longer exists because it amalgamated in 2007 with 2 others.
So now the attack on the poor is not only provincial but its going to the municipal level I'm extremely up set about the whole business and I feel that me on this cameral like this was suggested was the only way to put a face to people on poverty it was very hard decision for me to put this on camera and on video because my disability is a non apparent one and by doing this on camera other people that do not know about my disability may treat me differently but I fell so strongly
About this special diet and that the government should raise the rates, and now the attack on rent geared to income housing on ODSP has got me so upset as well
That I figured well I m going to put a face to this now to let people see
And that are my thoughts and that.

And I would personally like to thank Michael Prue at NDP to keep fighting for us and he has my full permission to put this tape on video if he wishes to when he's at
